Formula 17
Watched a movie called Formula 17.
An absolutely delightful film!
It's probably the only Taiwanese movie that I've seen so far that has broken the "all Taiwanese movies are arthouse only" rule.
The movie is basically a simple love story but with a tiny twist.
It's not about a naive girl looking for her prince charming love story.
But a really really naive seventeen boy looking for his prince charming.
Yep.
I was surprised how well-received this movie was in the Taiwanese box-office, let alone to say that this movie is purely a gay comedy.
I guess it's too hard to resist this movie.
It's light-hearted. Fast paced.
Not a drop of the angst that many might associate with films of this genre.
Just like the director mentioned in a magazine interview, this movie is just about love and nothing else.
That, makes this film so charming...
And the message this movie sends is clear: love sure can conquer all.
Don't they just look adorable? *coughs
